Blog every day in May- Day 10

Day 10-Most embarrassing moment

Well, I'm going to have to go with when Zach and I went to the movies.  Seems innocent enough, right?  We were dating, maybe engaged, I really can't remember.  The movie was Forgetting Sarah Marshall.  If you've seen the movie, you probably already know where I'm going with this.  In the first 5 minutes of the movie the main actor is shown "full frontal nude" about 3 or 4 times.  Zach and I both shrieked out loud, turned our heads, and konked into each other.  It was of course dark in the theater, but I know that my cheeks were flaming red!  We learned to carefully read up on movies before going to see them after that experience!  Aw-ful!

Story from when I was youger:
In 5th grade, the classroom was dead silent, and I had to sneeze.  Well I sneezed and also passed gas at the same time!!  Referred to by Zach as a "sneeze fart!"  haha.  I could have died.  I remember everyone laughing and being sooooooo embarrassed!

I think that's enough of a trip down memory lane of embarrassment for the day!  My weekly wrap is before this post and I'll be back tomorrow for day 11!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
