Blog every day in May- Day 2

Day 2: Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at.

I asked Zach to help me out, because I couldn't think of anything. Is that bad?
We agreed on baking here. It's something I've done for my entire life. Most of it occuring at my Mama Joyce's house with her. Cakes, pies, cookies, fudge, candies, you name it, I've probably at least tried to make it. I may be so keen on baking because of the enormous sweet tooth I have. I think it could have also come from the fact that when you're Southern and someone is sick, dies, has a baby, celebrates, what do you do? You whip up a dessert and take it on over. One of my favorite things about my Southern charm! ; )

I think my Mom's favorite thing I make are chocolate chip cookies. I have recently made a lot of desserts from fellow blogger's posts. One of Zach's new favorites is the chocolate peanut butter eclair.

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room. That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there. It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up. So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own. Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more. It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels. I think we were all nervous to cut it. It was too costly to mess up! Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks. Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit! Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz. I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement: He has been back to his super active little self this week. Best Moment of this week: Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house. Also, the 3 day weekend! We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy. I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet. But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple! ...

Valentine's Weekend

Zach and I seemed to stretch out Valentine's day for the whole weekend! On Friday night we had pizza ordered in (pineapple and mushroom, my FAVORITE, Thanks honey!) Then on Saturday, Zach took me to downtown Henderson to Memories, a little antique shop, and bought me a McGuffey reader to add to my collection! After that, we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Evansville and Zach bought me a back massage machine that goes in the chair! It does shiatsu massage and feel wonderful! He jokes that now he won't ever have to give me massages anymore, but that's not true! Then we went back to his house, and he opened his present from me, a balance thing that measures reloading stuff for guns! As you can guess, I don't exactly know what it is, I just said, "Pick something out unless you want some new polos." Motivates him every time! Today after church and lunch at Mama Joyce's we rushed to the west side of Evansville and went to the movies! We saw "When ...
