Day 12- What do you miss?
I miss my Papa. The way his farm was when he was still alive. I miss our gentle cows, the snorting pigs, and clucking chickens that we always chased. I miss hearing him call me "Little Bit," the nickname set aside just for me since I was a "little bit" of a thing when I was born. I miss his infectious laugh. I can hear it now in my head. I miss hearing him call the cows in and then me trying it too. "Suuuuuuuu-zzzzzzy!" he'd call, and they'd all come round. There are so many, many things I miss about that man. What I would give for him to have met Zach. I think he would have loved him!
I miss life being truly "easy." While I appreciate all that Zach and I have, I had it pretty easy when I was younger and under my parents' roof. I hope we can provide that same sense of security for our own children.
I miss college a little bit when I think about the carefree time Zach and I got to spend together. Although, I definitely wouldn't trade where we are not to go back to college days. It's nice to reminisce about those times together though.
On a less heavy note, I really miss the New York and Company store that we had in Evansville. It's where I got the majority of my clothes and I definitely haven't found a store to "replace" it. So sad!
