Blog every day in May- Day 18

Day 18- Tell a story from your childhood. Dig deep and try to be descriptive about what you remember and how you felt.

My Mama Joyce (my mom's mom) always kept us when we were growing up since she was a homemaker.   That way we never had to go to daycare, and we got to be spoiled by our Grandma every day!  Well, one day, all three of us (Ross, Suzanne, and I) were playing outside in the chicken yard and for some reason they figured it would be a great idea to hold me down and tickle me.  I remember I kept yelling,
"I'm gonna pee, I'm gonna pee!"  They literally tickled me until I peed, then I ran inside to tell Mama Joyce what they had done.  I remember I stayed inside until she washed and dried my clothes, and that I was so incredibly mad at my siblings.  I can't even remember the repercussions for them, but I don't really remember them getting into trouble!  What a rip off!

Not sure why this story came to mind, but I guess it is kind of funny!  Today is my husband's birthday, so I'm getting off of here so I can have fun with him!!  Night night!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
