Weekly Wrap Up April 29- May 4th

Sunday was a busy day as we celebrate our niece's 6th birthday and our nephew's birthday.  Isaiah's birthday was March 1st, but since my sister-in-law, Jessie, was still pregnant and in and out of the hospital, they couldn't have a party until now.  We definitely partied hard though and had a great time!
                                                                Can't believe she is 6!
Big 1 year old!!  This year flew by!

                                                            Zach and his daddy grilling.

                                                                     Isaiah's cake!
                                                                  Aubrie's cake!
Tearing into that cupcake!  So cute!
Holding Samuel, our newest nephew!  All that partying wears ya out!

Monday began ISTEP testing week at school.  To sum up the week, it was stressful and awful!  The test malfunctioned the first 2 days, so we were catching up the whole week.  I did get to have lunch with Zach on Wednesday since he was out of school to get ready for finals!  He has 3 finals down, and 2 to go next week.  Pray they go well for him!!

Today I have been a baking fiend.  I made Dana's Lemon Lemon cupcakes because hubby loves lemon.  They turned out pretty well, except for a few that were in a darker pan and burnt!  He loved them!  I am also making another dessert to take to our church's Senior Adult Day lunch tomorrow.  Speaking of, I better go get motivated to study my sunday school lesson!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
