Day 3, Friday: Things that make you uncomfortable

Oh my, get ready for a lenthy list

Some of my skirts/clothing items- They'll zip up, but I still have a couple pounds to lose, so I am usually miserable by the end of the day if I wear it to school.
High high heels- I try to soldier through them since I am so much taller with them, but it feels so good to get out of them at the end of the day.
Yelling- Especially when you are caught in the middle of people yelling and can't find a way to excuse yourself from the situation. Aca-awkard!
Zach says the word "fart!" - Haha, I wouldn't say uncomfortable, but I don't like the word!
Cussing- I hate all of those ugly four letter words. For the most part, I'm not exposed to them from my friends and family, and I hate when a potentially good movie is ruined by profanity. It's also really uncomfortable when you've told people over and over you'd rather they not use that language around you, and they continue to do so!
Nellie pushing me to the edge of the bed when she sleeps with us. That, or I wake up and her bottom is my chest! Silly pup!

This was all I could come up with. I guess the list can grow if anything else pops up in my head!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room. That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there. It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up. So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own. Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more. It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels. I think we were all nervous to cut it. It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller.
