Much of the same

We have not been too exciting around here since the last post. Yesterday was a real day of rest for Zach because he took about 2 naps, each lasting at least 2 hours. I was glad he could finally get some sleep. Last night Mama, Daddy, and Suzanne brought us supper. We watched "How To Train Your Dragon" while Suzanne and I did our nails with the Sally Hansen press-on nails.

Today has been discouraging in some ways. We were planning on going to church at first, and after a lot of consideration, decided that it would be way too hard on Zach. Then we decided we would just go to Mama Joyce's for lunch. I washed Zach's hair in the sink and got him dressed, and by the time that was all done he was in such pain! It is so hard for me to not be able to do much for him. So we stayed home and he got to take a well deserved nap. The afternoon passed by quickly and I was able to do my elliptical for the first time in three (I KNOW!) days. I am even more ashamed to admit that it really wore me out! I just didn't think 3 days should have done that to me!

Tonight Zach's mom and dad brought us Olive Garden! Yuuuuuum! It's about our favorite food to eat and it made me so happy to see Zach eat so much. He hasn't had his "normal" appetite in the past few days.

We are winding down day 4 post surgery and as you can tell, he doesn't really feel much improved since Thursday. We thank you for all of your prayers and support. Please pray that his pain will lessen more and more. We go to the Dr. on Tuesday to get the drain out. Please pray that it would go smoothly and that it will not be too painful (as we are afraid it might be!) I know that we are going through so much less than other people are, but this is our biggest "obstacle" right now and we covet your thoughts and prayers!

Night Night!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...
