Ten On Thursday

1. Zach shot this deer two weekends ago in Henderson. He called it his "jacked up deer." 2. Nellie has been chewing like crazy! 3. Yesterday was crazy sock day at Joshua Academy where I am observing a math class! I wore flip flops so the kids could see all of my socks and they loved them! (Remember, it's the small things in life!) 4. Tomorrow the kids are having a Halloween, I mean "fall party" since not all people celebrate/take part in Halloween. All of the kids have been excited about the party and have been talking about their costumes they will wear this weekend. I am really excited to get to be at the party too! It should be a fun time! 5. I am making chicken and rice for supper tonight! Let's hope it's half as good as my Mama Joyce's! 6. On Monday, Zach cooked while I was at class. He made baked spaghetti with deer. I asked him what recipe he used and he said he just made it up! It was pretty good though! 7. I am taking 2 of the 3 Pra
Today Nellie peed on one of my textbooks... while sitting right next to me... while looking at me! Argh!!! My little schnuckums was very much in trouble! We are doing very well with potty training and then she just goes without even walking to the door! And yes, I know, irresponsible me that left the book on the floor! On the upside it all stayed on the book, so I could just wipe it off and there was none on the carpet! Just goes to show you there's always a silver lining! : )

Just a Preview

Tonight, Zach and I went to Rural King to buy Nellie's first vaccine. To spare everyone the details, one of her bodily functions was NOT normal and had us very worried. Zach's dad said the symptoms sounded like Parvo. We had planned on taking her to the vet soon anyway, but since they had the vaccine where we could buy it and then administer it we went ahead and got it so it could start working right away! On to the sad tale... We got home and Nellie had peed on the floor. Zach started to mix up the vaccine right away. So first of all, she probably thinks she got the shot because she was in trouble. Then I had to wipe her with rubbing alcohol to sterilize the intended injection site. We sat down on the couch and I pinned her down while Zach gave her the shot. Everyone in our neighborhood probably heard when the needle went in! Then I still had to hold her while Zach injected the serum. It was awful and she was yelping and crying and I was crying, which let me to this

Ten on Thursday

1. Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary of dating! I can't believe that it has been that long, but I love that I love Zach even more every day that passes! 2. Today is Zach's dad's 47th birthday and tomorrow is my Granddaddy's 87th birthday. 3. Tomorrow we are eating with Zach's family for his dad's birthday and on Saturday, we are going down to Mama Grace and Granddaddy's for his birthday. So we are going to have a very busy weekend for sure! 4. Zach's mom is going to watch Nellie this weekend while we are gone and I hope she is a good girl! (And goes outside every time she uses the bathroom!) 5. On the list of Nellie's accomplishment this week: -She has learned how to climb up on the couch. : ( -She has gone to the door nearly EVERY time to go to the potty. : ) -She seems to prefer Mama to Daddy as of right now! hehehe. 6. 8 weeks down in the semester and 8 to go!! Yay! 7. Zach got home at 4:30ish today, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays he do

Introducing...

Ms. Nellie Scheller! She loves her pig ear! And riding in the truck with Daddy! So far, it has been so good to have our little sweetie! We are working diligently to get her potty trained and today was so good! The only time she even peed in the house was on the potty pad. She is starting to run to the door when she has to go potty, so we must be doing something right! Her stats for now are: -I think she weighs around 5 pounds, we still need to buy some scales! -She LOVES her treats, which she gets whenever she potties outside or obeys a commands! -She loves to snuggle and cuddle so much! In fact, almost too much! If you walk away from her into the kitchen or bathroom she instantly takes off to follow you. It is actually kind of hard to get things done with her being so clingy! -She also loves the love seat. It is so cute though because she can't get on it herself and will back to get a running start and then will crash into the couch! : ) We love our little Nellie girl so

Ten on Thursday... on Friday

1. First of all, the reason I am a day late on this is because yesterday was filled with school and then babysitting until 1 this morning! 2. Second, Zach and I would like to introduce the newest addition to our family! We got our little girl on Wednesday and it has been a whirlwind ever since! Her name is Nellie and the people we got her from said she was born in August. So she is about 11 weeks old. She is an adorable little Beagle Hound. 3. Nellie is going to be a house dog and I have never had one inside before. We need some good tips for house training and crate training. 4. I signed up for the Praxis II tests today. They are tests bases on Elementary Ed Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment along with two tests for my reading minor. I am so nervous for them and hope to find some good study stuff! (I kind of have to pass them to get my teaching license after all! : ) ) 5. Zach is loving his new job! I am so thankful that he is doing something he enjoys! We are so

Ten on Thursday

1. Zach started his new job today and we are so excited! The best part it, he was home by 2:30 today! : ) 2. Last night I knocked my computer off the ottoman and the device I use to get internet broke. For good. Ugh, now I have to either find another little device or get a new computer. Gonna go with option 1 for now! 3. This week in Evansville they are holding the "West Side Nut Club Fall Festival." It is a lot like tri-fest in Henderson, except on CRACK! They expect you to pay parking, where any other time of the year you would never have to pay. Can we say selfish? So any who, Zach and I were obviously determined to not pay for parking, so we drove around for 20 or so minutes looking for places to park. We finally settled on the Walgreens about 5 blocks away, but hey, we got free parking AND exercise! I ate a corn dog and caramel apple, pretty tame, but Zach got a bratwurst with sauerkaut and a brain sandwich. Not my kinds of food! 4. Our house is a mess, and I w

Carol of the Bells

Yep, I'm listening to Christmas music already. The above song was just playing! I love it! I can't wait now for Christmas so we can celebrate Jesus' birth with all of our very dear friends and family! It can't get here soon enough. While I'm also sure Zach is looking for to Christmas, he is telling me I must turn the music off, that it is too soon! : ) hehe, He hasn't even experienced my full blown Christmas spirit, so he is in for an experience. Oh, and one more thing, it is 65 degrees in our house and we haven't turned our heat on yet. Not because we don't want to, but because the filter inside of it is nasty and we were too lazy to go buy one this late at night! (Yes, 8:20 is LATE, I already have my pajamas on!)
