Christmas Day!

Christmas morning at my parents' after we finished our cinnamon rolls! Our stockings! Zach's new lighter. He likes it! Nellie saying, "Why are you letting Aunt Suzanne do this to me, Mama?!" Beautiful little Christmas beagle! Mama and Daddy found Shim an outfit for next Christmas... and Thanksgiving! Deciding her new bed from Grandma and Grandpa may be alright after all! Parts for the gun he is building.  He gets so excited over pieces of metal! Haha! Beautiful ornament from Suzanne! Ornament we gave Mama! Pearl necklace from my brother! Lauren and Logan! Mama, Aunt Melody, and Aunt Lynn! Mama Joyce with the ornament we gave her! Lexie telling a good story, I guarantee! ; )  We had a great Christmas and were blessed to spend it with our family!  We didn't forget the reason we celebrate, and especially think about next year when we'll be sharing the true meaning

Christmas Morning

We have started our tradition in the past few years of waking up and doing our little family's Christmas on Christmas morning.  Doesn't take too long to open presents, and then we go to my parents for breakfast and presents. The stockings got filled! Impatiently waiting for me to get her snowman out! Bobbin holder! New video camera!  Perfect for capturing Nellie and soon Shim! New shelves for the garage! Gloves and gummy worms! New tool box complete with about 100 tools!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we did Christmas with Zach's parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephews! Candid, but so cute! Our family of 4! Us and a very little baby bump! Isaiah, Freddie, Jessie, Aubrey, and Samuel! Opening the tractor we got him! Nellie lending a helping paw! : ) Nellie LOVES this toy her Nana and Poppy gave her!  She squeaked it obsessively all night!  It had a different kind of squeaker than normal ones and doesn't break, so I think that is part of why she likes it more.  Isaiah with the tractor we got him.  Pretty sure he loved it! The bolt part of the gun he is building.  Excuse his high look!  He is terrible at keeping his eyes open when the flash goes off! Zach's mom with the purse we got her.  Love that pattern! And they didn't forget Shim of course!  He got this cute bib and a onesie!

Bumpdate: Week 22

How Far along: 22 weeks (I said it would be a good week since 22 is our number! : )) Baby's size: Papaya (side note: I'm not sure that I've ever eaten one of these!) Weight loss/gain: Gained, then lost a lb.  Not sure how to explain that. Still at the weight of pre-pregnancy.  Kind of crazy to me, but I'm not complaining if he's growing and healthy! Sleep: I'm doing a little better at getting back to sleep after my nightly bathroom break. Gender: Bouncing baby boy!  Starting to look for some boy clothes! (But not too many since everybody says I'll get tons at my baby showers!) Movement:  He's moving and grooving, and some days I feel more than others.  I am really thinking that I'll be able to feel all his movements pretty soon.  Feeling him some more from the outside! Best Moment of this week: Registering at Babies 'R Us and Target!  Also buying our first cloth diapers! So excited to start figuring out how we are going to ma

Bumpdate: Week 21

How Far along: 21 weeks Baby's size: Pomegranate Weight loss/gain: Haven't gained any since last week. Sleep: It was good, and then back to school sleep is crappy again. : (  Gender: B-O-Y! Still getting used to that still.  So unbelievable to know he is a he! Movement:  Feeling him even more this week!  Movements are a little stronger, and felt him from the outside for the first time this morning.  He must have been rolling or something, because I didn't feel anything like this the rest of the week. Best Moment of this week: The weekend after a long week back.  I wore maternity pants for the first time this week and they felt pretty good! Looking Forward: Still longing for that 3 day weekend!  Time with my hubby this weekend since we don't have anything on the books. Food cravings: Not really. Weirdest Food I ate last week: Not a thing. I've never been a big enthusiast on trying weird things, and don't plan on starting now!

Shim is a...

BOY! Here are some pictures from our gender reveal party we had Sunday, January 4.   My sister and I made the banner.  I think we did pretty well! I made the cake, and what can I say?  At least it tasted good!  Zach really liked it!  The food! Shawn and Gwenda!  She and Shim are going to be girlfriend and boyfriend! ; ) Reading name suggestions! Debating how to cut the cake! Blue!! My sweet, adorable husband/ baby daddy! : )  He's a funny guy! Elizabeth, Myself, and Shawn! Baby boy has a name (as long he looks like a  _______ ________ when he's born), but we are not telling it until then!  I told Zach if we found out, that we were definitely not telling the name.  He wholeheartedly agreed and we're both protecting it until the big day.  We call him by name at home most of the time, but sometimes still refer to him as Shim.  Stuck in the habit of it, I think!    So, all in all, it was a success and I got the ho
