Get ready...

for me to play catch up.  Grab a cup of coffee, tall glass of water, or whatever you prefer if you're going to hang with me to catch up the past three weeks.  Let's just say, I have been waaaaaaaay busy!  So sit back, relax and make sure you check out everything! ***** There are 3 new posts after this, so keep on scrolling! : ) I'll add the latest one tomorrow!  Happy 3 day weekend to most of you!

Weekly Wrap Up (August 19-25)

On Sunday, I went to church while Zach worked.  We had supper with his parents, sister, brother-in-law, and our niece and nephew that night.  Nellie has seen Isaiah (5 months old) and sniffed him before, but they've never been on the same level before.  Zach's mom was holding him playing on the floor with Aubrie and Nellie walked and just sniffed and sniffed.  He would stick his little hand in her fur and just grin.  She did try unsuccessfully to sneak in a lick or two, but did so well.  We've always know she was good with kids, but it was just so cute to see how she interacted with him!  She'll be such a good furry big sister some day! Nellie is thinking, "That's one cute boy!"   Checking him out with her super-smeller! : ) Isaiah didn't know what she was, but he liked her fur! Nana with all her grandkids, including Nellie! : ) Nellie also got to celebrate her birthday again with her Nana and Poppy that night.  She got some of her f

My bulletin boards!

I did two bulletin boards outside my room this year!  My friend, Elyse, that I teach with helped me understand the complexity that is The Cricut machine so that cutting out the letters was  breeze!  What do ya'll think?   They're simple, but I am happy with them!  I felt very accomplished!

Weekly Wrap Up (August 12-18)

On Monday it was back to school!  We had our corporation wide meeting at Castle High School.  The speaker they had was inspirational and very funny, so it was a nice time.  Then us aides headed back to Loge to work the rest of our half day.  It was rainy and yucky, but I got to be home with Zach and Nellie by noon! : )  Then Zach took me to the Gerst Haus for lunch, which is always fun!  It is so neat inside!  That afternoon I made chocolate reese cup cupcakes with peanut butter icing for Suzanne's birthday.  Zach had to do inventory at his work again this time, so starting Monday night he worked overnight from about 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.  : (  It was definitely not fun to be home alone, but I have to say I did very well!  I still had my sweet girl with me and she slept with me each night! : )  She knew she had to protect her Mama.  Perhaps that's why she jumped off the bed at 3:30 a.m. one of the mornings howling and nearly scared the pee out of me! Haha.  Thankfully we got

Woo hoo, Nellie's Two!

It is hard to believe it, but our girl is already two years old! She is such a joy and we can't imagine life without her!  At 2 years old Nellie: -Weighs 26.8 lbs (Our vet told us she is "overweight" so she's been dieting!  She is so pitiful about food though it breaks your heart!) -Loves to cuddle with us.  It is so funny because if it is bed time, she will lay in bed so still and not move.  We think she is thinking, "Okay, if I don't move, they'll forget I'm here and will let me sleep with them!"  It works about 10% of the time!  She still sleeps in her kennel otherwise.  She also stays in her kennel during the day.  I know she wouldn't potty in the house if she were free in it during the day, but there is seriously no telling what all she would get herself into.  She'd probably be like Marley from Marley and Me !  -Loves ice.  You can ask her if she wants ice and she runs to the refrigerator and looks up toward the freezer door!

Nashville!

Going to eat at the spaghetti factory.  As you can see, Zach is watching TV! Haha  Well, a little more focused now!  In front of "Batman" aka, the at and t tower!  We always looked for it driving through Nashville when we were little!  By the way, downtown Nashville was crazy!  Paying for parking was an experience to say the least and we didn't care a lot for the Spaghetti factory.  At least we know now though we'd rather avoid it!  We still had a fun night!                                                 Friday we went to visit The Hermitage, home of former president Andrew Jackson.                                                                                           My handsome husband with the house behind him.                                                             Me in front of the house! (In case you're wondering why I'm dressed so funny, I was trying not to over pack for the trip, and ended up severely underpacking.  That was
