Weekend recap

This past weekend was good, but a blur!  Friday night Zach and I ordered pizza and picked up Here Comes the Boom from Target.  We had already seen it, but had been waiting for it to go on sale to bring it home.  Love that movie!  Saturday, Nellie and I got up bright and early to go to my parents' house.  I drove to Bowling Green with my Mama and Suzanne to drop off some of her school things and then to go shopping.  We ate Olive Garden for lunch and then went to the mall.  I got to thoroughly enjoy New York and Co. with great coupons and my rewards money!  Woo hoo!  (Big thanks to Nellie's Grandpa for keeping her!) I got home just a few minutes after Zach got home from work.  We ran out and got Subway because it was too late to cook, but we didn't feel like really "going out." Story of most of our weekends! I could just lay at home with him and Nellie all day! Sunday we went to church, came home, took a nap! (just me!), and went grocery shopping.  We're

Blogtember!

Some of you may remember the series Blog Every Day in May with Jenni @ Story of My Life.  Well, she is hosting another link-up where I will blog every day in September.  I've already looked over her prompts and am excited just thinking about them!  Should be a good month of writing!  If you want it, hop over to her blog to get the details!

Weekly wrap-up August 11-16

Sunday we went to church and then ate at Mama Joyce's.  I took a nice long nap when we got home and soaked up every last minute before the first day of school!  I got really excited to see my kids the next morning.  Monday was the first day of school and I started bright and early with my first bus duty of the year.  I got so much done in my classroom and got some new things assembled!  When I'm totally finished with my room, I will post pictures since it looks a lot different from last year!  We went to Qdoba that night to celebrate the first day. On Tuesday after school I took care of something that has slowly become an issue for the last 6 months.  I went to the eye Dr.!  If you know me at all, you know I've always prided myself on my 20/20 vision.  Well, that era of my life has apparently come to an end.  My two new pair of glasses should be in sometime next week.  I'm sure it was quite funny to watch me pick out my frames.  I was so incredibly picky and though

Wheeeee!! Nellie's 3!

Love these pictures of us!                                                                           Our little family!                                                                    Her beautiful cake from Donut Bank! (She only has a teeny tiny sliver! The rest was enjoyed by the people guests! ; ) Nellie Girl, How is it possible you are 3?  It seems like yesterday we drove through hail and rain to go pick you up.  You are so big now and we love you so much.  I never knew I'd love you like I do!  You are such a joy to Daddy and I and you bring such happiness and fun to our home.  On any bad day, I come home to you and you give me nothing short of an adoring look and frantically wagging tail.  God knew exactly what he was doing when we gave you to us!  You are excellent practice for a real baby someday with all of your antics!  When that day comes, we know you'll be the best furry big sister ever!  You are so good with your "people-cousins!"  Isai
