NSM Week 4

Suppers for the week Sunday- Leftovers from Olive Garden Monday- Sloppy Joe Tuesday-Lasagna Wednesday-Fajitas Thursday- Strengthening Families supper for me/ Leftovers for Zach Friday- Pizza Well, we not only survived NSM, I even kept up on blogging about it!  Now, we did change up the rules and spend a little, but over all, we did pretty well!  First of all, we didn't have to buy a truck like last year, and second of all, we didn't really "do" Valentine's day. Now, it would be all well and good to just say we did a good job, but I want to guesstimate (It's a word in my mind) how much we saved. The line-up: We usually go to Qdoba every Monday night, which is around $10.  (4 x's/month Usually at Target we pick out a movie, clothes, or junk food.  I'm going to est. about $30 each trip. (We got at least 7-9 x's/month) Zach usually buys something each time he works at Bucks and Jakes. About $20 on average. (2 x's/ month) Snacks afte...

Second week of NSM

My oh my, this NSM is almost half over. I can say that we have been doing great! We have stuck to all our meal plans except for Saturday night. Zach had entered the Papa Johns coin toss pizza thing, and he won! (this never happens!) so, on Saturday we got an entirely free large pizza! : ) No spending there! Then on Sunday, Zach's parents took us to QDoba. But like I said, all out other meals have gone as planned. This weeks menu is: Monday- Chicken enchiladas Tuesday- Stuffed green peppers Wednesday- Parmesean chicken sandwiches Thursday- Honey chicken with rice pilaf Friday- Sloppy Joes Saturday- Deery Mac It is so nice to not have to think about going out for supper or obsessing over ads for all the stuff I want. The only problem is I have to not LOOK at them! Which, I haven't been great about. It doesn't help that I get all kinds of e-mails that are so tempting!
