This time of the year is always busy, but this year I think we can go ahead and stick it under a category marked "crazy!" I feel like we haven't been home for over 2 weeks with no end in sight! Not that it's a bad thing, I just feel like we need to slow it down and remember the birth of our Lord and Savior. I am more and more thankful for Him each and every day. After the events last Friday (which I read about during the school day on my lunch) I was left heartbroken and crying out to God for those sweet babies, their teachers, and their parents. I was quite literally in shock of it all. This week at school I am watching fiercely over my kids, hugging them tighter, and making sure they know they are safe. I am so glad that even though I don't know the future, I know the one who holds my future.
Valentine's morning I treated myself to a heart-shaped chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-a. They were BOGO free AND I got a survey for a free chicken sandwich. That in and of itself made my day! : ) Friday evening Zach and I tried to go out for Valentine's Day. We thought we were early enough to beat the rush, but it turned out we weren't. We ended up going back home with a quick stop through Donut Bank to get dessert and then we had a DiGiorno pizza and watched the Olympics. Can you feel the romance? Haha. Yummy Whoopie Pie!
