Spring Break wrap up! A Wonderful week...sort of.

1. About 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning I woke up and my throat was kind of tingling, but I figured it was because I had mowed at Mama Joyce's on Saturday. 2. At about 8:00 Sunday night I had a 101.8 fever, which let me know it was NOT just allergies. 3. Monday morning I already had a Dr. appt, so I had her look at my throat.  She sent to me to the hospital for a strep test and ta-da! I have strep for the 2nd time in a month and a half.  I can't say I am happy with that.  I really think strep loves me.  I would hate to have my tonsils out being this old, but I would much rather not have strep.  ever. again! 4. On to the joyous part of spring break. By Tuesday I had been on my antibiotic for almost 24 hours when Mama and I went shopping. We had lots of fun and she bought me 2 new dresses and we got some soothing Chick-fil-a ice dream for my throat. I can't remember where else we went except for the furniture store for Mama and Daddy to pick out their new m...

Weekly Wrap Up Mar 5

1. ISTEP testing started this week! I was really nervous just about giving it for the first time, maybe even more than the students that were taking it! 2. I did take Monday off so that Zach and I could spend some much needed time together. We slept in and then went to Cheddar's for lunch. Then Zach took me to the mall to let me show him some things I wanted for my birthday! 3. I can't remember anything else from this week. I'll have to look at my desk calendar at school and check what I wrote!

Weekly Wrap Up Feb. 28th

1. This was the beginning of the baby boom! We didn't know Monday that we'd be an aunt and uncle again by the end of the week, but we were! 2. Leap day led to many children at school "leaping" everywhere they went. It was quite adorable for the first part of the day. You have to love the way they are so literal. I talked to my sister-in-law and said, well, at least Isaiah won't be born on leap day! 3. March 1st, Isaiah James made his entrance into the world. He sure didn't miss leap day by much. He weighed 9 lbs 8.7 ounces and was 20 inches long. We got to see him the night after he was born and I won't ever forget it. I have never held anything that new before. He was a little over an hour old, and oh so adorable. When his Uncle Zach held him, my heart was just aflutter. It was so sweet. So without further ado, I introduce you to our precious nephew, Isaiah. 4. Friday after school I got to visit with Isaiah and Jessie again. He'd ha...

Weekly Wrap Up Feb. 20th

1. We haven't had much snow, so we got to have President's Day off. Zach also had it off so we just got to have a fun day which equals doing nothing! Wish we could have more of those. 2. The next day, Feb 21st was Mama Joyce's 82nd birthday. She got lots of goods including a puzzle from us and some new Alfred Dunner clothes. I told her we were sorry the only Thomas Kinkade we can afford her is the puzzle! She said that was okay! ; ) 3. Thursday Elizabeth and I went to Rafferty's for supper. I had never tried their salad, but it was delicious. I'm just hoping all the meat and cheese on it didn't disqualify it from being healthy! Hehe. 4. Zach had Saturday off, so we went to JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, and Gander Mtn. I got lots of new fabrics for skirts. Mama Joyce told me to watch out, that buying fabric gets addictive, and I told her I'd already found that out! : ) I just love all the colors in the store and want them allllll! 5. Saturday after...

Weekly Wrap Up

This post is out of order because of the way the pictures uploaded, but I'm at the point of not caring, so long as I get it posted! 1. On Feb. 12 we met Zach's family at Cheeseburger in Paradise. His parents just got back from a vacation to Mexico and had a blast. They were also tan, which made me really want a break! Thursday (2-16-12) Please, please note that I beat Zach in bowling. Also, that is my highest score I have ever bowled! I don't think either one of us could believe I beat him. Ha! This was the first game we bowled. Zach definitely won that one! My hubby in action. He was trying to take my picture and catch me off guard, but I guess I can pull myself together pretty quickly!! : ) On Valentine's Day (Tuesday 2-14-12) We went to Texas Roadhouse for supper and decided to get there as early as possible. We got there at 4:15 and got straight in and got our delicious supper. Can't beat that! Zach was so sweet and sent me flowers at school. I ...

Weekly Wrap Up

Well our week was going pretty regularly with school, work, and tutoring until Wednesday. I got up Wednesday morning feeling like my throat was caving in on itself, but went to work anyway. I was in tears because I felt so bad, so when my principal told me that I had to go home, no options. It was a good thing though because Zach took me to the doctor and it was STREP. Yuck! It loves me soooo much more than I love it. I also had really bad back pain and other "achy-ness" with it, which doesn't usually happen. So naturally, I felt like I was dying. Thank the Lord for Amoxicillin, which had me feeling well enough to go to work on Friday. During Wednesday and Thursday at home Nellie and I got lots of snuggle time and Zach was a pretty good nurse. He made me eat chicken noodle soup, but to make up for that I also got cherry jell-o! I can't tell you how glad I am that I feel better and also that Zach didn't get it as well. It is not welcome at our house ever ...

Weekly Wrap Up

Hmm, to be to the point, Thursdays lately just haven't worked out so well for blogging. So me, myself, and I created a new alliteration... Weekly Wrap Up. I think if I post on the weekend it will be a little easier to stick to. I digress.... This past week was in the fewest words, "ideal." My days at work went by quickly, time at home went by at a good pace, and altogether the week went by fast! This makes for one happy gal. During the week I got to hang out with Theresa, the mother of Ben, Becca, and Claire! (Whom I have mentioned before! We love those sweet babies!) We had way too much fun eating pizza and celebrating her cousin's birthday and then talking about anything and everything. I just love their family and am so glad that they love having Zach and I over! Wednesday night we went out to Olive Garden with Zach's parents, Jessie, Freddie, and Aubrie. We wanted to see his parents before they headed off on a wonderful vacation! If only we could ha...
