Father's Day 2012

I saw my Daddy on Saturday before Father's day and then we went to church with Zach's parents on Sunday. We went out to eat with them to Cheddar's and then home to make no bake cookies and a cherry delight for the get together that night. We snuck in a brief cat nap and loaded Nellie up to celebrate with Zach's Mom's side of the family. Zach and I went fishing before anyone else got there. The fish he is holding in the picture was the catch of the day. Once we had eaten, Aubrie laid on Zach while he was lounging. I thought it was such a sweet picture! Then she wanted to go back down with us to fish, which ended in her and I picking blackberries. She was sooooo super excited and could barely wait to wash them off before digging in. They were pretty tart, but I think you can see she was so proud and excited, it didn't matter what they tasted like! Haha.

My week at summer camp went by quickly as we did two outside messy days, went swimming one day, went to the movies, and had a game day/movie day.

This weekend Zach ended up having to work both days, so we haven't gotten to see each other much. I mowed at Mama Joyce's yesterday, swam, and then went shopping with Mama. I got two new dresses at Penney's! Today was church and the n afterward Lizabeth came over to swim for a while. Nellie got in and I wish Sooo badly I had a video. She didn't mean to come in, but she slipped an her paddling splashed so much and was so loud. It was adorable. I would hold her up when she grew tired and I think she liked it!

We also found that Nellie has been barking so much over some baby rabbits that were born in our back yard.  Zach caught one and it was so cute!

Here's hoping this week will go by quickly! I an counting down the days until our family vacation!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
