Ten on Thursday

1. I have one day left of my Christmas break. This makes me very, very sad.

2. I really need to find a job (still haven't applied at Buy Low yet.) We are waiting though to see how much financial aid Zach receives (if any) and hopefully he will be able to work enough to get us through this semester.

3. This week on Tuesday my Mama, Mama Joyce, and Suzanne came to help us clean and organize our house. It looks so much better now. Thanks to all 3 of you!

4. Zach and I will both start back to school on Monday. I have my orientation for student teaching that day and then dive right on in Tuesday. Zach has one class Mon, 2 on Wed, and 1 on Fri.

5. I am worried about how Nellie will do when I start back to school next week. I sure hope Zach will be able to come home and check on her in between classes or work, because if not I will feel awful all day!

6. I have worked Yesterday and today this week and am going to work one last day tomorrow at the daycare. I will miss my babies!

7. Zach and I have been thoroughly enjoying the Olive Garden gift cards we got for Christmas. We went last night and also had a coupon from an e-mail for a free dessert! Yum, yum, yum!

8. After talking about food, I will mention that I have been using my new weights and shake weight that Zach and his parents got me for Christmas. Zach loooves to harass me about the shake weight, but you really can feel it working, even if you look like a fool! haha.

9. My parents got Zach (and me too) a Sam's Club membership for Christmas and we have been enjoying it as well. Some of the stuff we can't really buy since there are only two of us, but the 5 lbs of cheese and 6 lbs of chicken will be great for us! Zach felt the 1o pack of kleenex was a little bit much to stock up on. Although we do blow our noses an awful lot! Anyway, I do like Sam's Club so far!

10. I don't think I even though to mention it while focusing on our post about Christmas, but the day after Christmas was our 6 month Wedding anniversary! It's flown by, so I bet our 1 year anniversary will sneak up on us as well! We are already trying to create a short trip or something fun to do to celebrate!

Valentine's Day and the Quickest Weekend Ever

Valentine's morning I treated myself to a heart-shaped chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-a.  They were BOGO free AND I got a survey for a free chicken sandwich.  That in and of itself made my day! : )                                                       Friday evening Zach and I tried to go out for Valentine's Day.  We thought we were early enough to beat the rush, but it turned out we weren't.   We ended up going back home with a quick stop through Donut Bank to get dessert and then we had a DiGiorno pizza and watched the Olympics.  Can you feel the romance? Haha.                                                                                                     Yummy Whoopie Pie!                                                                                          My Valentine! Saturday morning began gloriously at 9:20 a.m. It seems like it's been forever since I slept that late, but it was wonderful!  I met my friend, Jennifer, and he

Ten on Thursday

1. Zach is on Spring Break this week! Even if it is just from his one class, we still enjoyed it! I actually got to have him with me all last night! 2. I am almost done with my first week in third grade. So far, so good! The kids seem to really like me and I'm becoming rather fond of them as well! 3. I was working out last night and accidentally kicked Nellie in the side of her head. She is okay, but Zach may still be dying of laughter! I felt awful and was trying to pick her up as she was trying to scurry away from me. She must have thought I did it intentionally! Poor baby! She got lots of hugs and kisses after that though! 4. We have kept our sink free of dirty dishes for over a week now! This may not sound like such a feat, but trust me, when you don't have a dishwasher, it is! 5. Tomorrow is the "Spring Fling" carnival at my school. I am going to help set it up after school, which should be fun! 6. Warrick County School Corporation announced this past week that t

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas festivities started with Zach's family on Christmas Eve!  We opened presents and ate!  I'll let the pictures do most of the talking!  As you can see, Christmas is so more magical when there are little ones to spoil! : ) Mrs. Claus house shoes from Nana and Poppy!  Mmmmm, paper!  We got Zach's dad a long magnet on wheels.  We hope he liked it!! Haha, it was one of those gifts that was more of a necessity I think!  She was excited!  We are glad she liked it!  We got Zach's mom a record player that is a 5-in-1 system!  Isaiah's sweater we got him!  Its pockets are in the shape of monkey hands too, so I couldn't resist how cute it was!  He is a cute little monkey too!  Book set from us!  Love If You Give A Mouse.... series!  He is saying. "Ohhh, paper!  I love that!"  Make-up set from us!  He looooved the paper!  Isaiah opening his Leap Frog laptop from us!  He lik
