Lately...

1. School has been pretty monotonous! I can tell the kids are feeling it as well, and we get closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks, I think it's going to get worse!

2. Zach and I went turkey hunting on Monday after school at his parents' new house. It was quite warm, so at least we weren't freezing, which I always like. I think I came close to dozing off a few times, but then we heard a really loud noise close to us. It turned out to be a stinking little groundhog, but got it anyway! One less little pest running around there.

3. We are getting "ready" for Halloween. We don't really do much for it, but we've gotten out decorations out and bought a bag of candy.

4. I have getting to see Elizabeth a lot lately! In case she is reading this, I am so glad you are home this year! We went to the mall to get Dippin' dots the other day and they were delicious.

5. This week is red ribbon week. We have had an anti- drug theme for each day. I will gave to upload some of my glamorous pics from the week.

6. I have not been exercising near enough lately. I know I should, but I am just in a rut. Blah!

7. I also haven't been cooking enough. Must pick up the pace soon!

That's about it as of late! Hey, at least we have no complaints!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
