Blog Every Day in May- Day 19

Day 19- Your 5 favorite blogs to read and why.

1. Made-  I love all her crafts, recipes, home ideas!  Her kids are pretty adorable too!

2. Elyse-  I really love reading a blog when I actually know the person!  It makes me feel like much less of the creeper that I am! ; )  Also, since she is at another school teaching, I can keep up on her going-ons!

3. Running-with-Scissors-  I love her crafts and tutorials.  The first project I made when I picked back up sewing was her shirred pocket skirt.  She makes some awesome things, especially for little ones!

4. Kate- I do not know Kate, and couldn't even tell you about how I stumbled across her blog, but it was a couple days after her daughter, Lucy, was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.  I have been praying for their sweet family for two years and I know that their story will inspire you.  The hand of God is strong at work in their lives!

5. Jenni- Jenni is the one hosting this months Blog every day in May challenge.  I actually hadn't ever come across her blog before this, but have already read a lot of her posts!

There! My fave blogs, and hopefully any of the 4 people I don't know don't think I'm too much of a creeper! : )

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
