It's Snow joke... (Dec.1-7)

The snow we get around here isn't at least.  We had around 6 inches at our house and it was so pretty!  Unfortunately for Nellie, that left me with ample time to torture play with her.  Know all those cute pictures of animals or babies wrapped in lights?  These aren't them.  These are still pretty darn hilarious, though, so for your viewing pleasure and daily laugh...
Shoot me, please!

Reeeeeallly, Mama?

If I stare into your soul, will you stop this?

Her fur looks green. A total fail!
Someone PLEASE call ASPCA!

Baby girl was much happier when she got to romp in the snow!  She even got to wear the sweater Miss Jacki (My custodian at school) got for her.  She is too sweet to Nellie!

I made snow cream that definitely looks grosser than it was.  It was dee-licious!

I kid you not, when she saw me taking pictures she would take off like a shot.  It was hilarious to watch in person!

Beagle ears.... I just love them!

We should've named her Flash!
Her "about to take off" stance
Adorable snowy face!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

Turns out...

Third grade is not bad at all! The kids are still pretty sweet and are so excited for me to be there and I am excited too! I think it will be fun to see all that they can do and have fun with them. Yesterday I received 5 notes on my desk about how excited that I was there and about how much fun we were going to have. I think they are right! Hopefully I get the hang of them quickly, because I start teaching Science (Mon and Wed), Social Studies(Tues and Thur), and PE (Fri) next week!

Bumpdate: 41 weeks!

How Far along: 41 weeks.   Baby's size: Size of a jack fruit!  Around 7.5 lbs. (I think he's going to be about 8 lbs and Zach's official guess is 9 lbs. 2 oz.  I hope he's wrong!) Weight loss/gain: 30 lbs. (So glad the weight gain is slowing down!) Sleep: I told Zach I no longer am even trying to keep track of how much I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Gender: B-O-Y Movement:  He has been back to his super active little self this week.  Best Moment of this week:  Getting to spend time at home together now that we're finished with the old house.  Also, the 3 day weekend!  We didn't sleep in, much, but we figure that's all about to end anyway! Looking Forward: Getting to meet our baby boy.  I think it will be a little weird, because I truly don't feel like I'm finished being pregnant yet.  But, alas, we pretty much have to follow Dr.'s orders. Food cravings: Still pineapple!  ...
