Bumpdate: Week 26

Okay, I look pretty big here!  Just saying!! He's a growing!
How Far along: 26 weeks

Baby's size: A head of lettuce

Weight loss/gain: up 5 lbs total.

Sleep: Still getting up at least once a night, every now and then it is twice.

Gender: B-O-Y

Movement:  Moving a fair bit.  Feeling him more in my belly than lower.  If you've had a baby, that makes sense to you!

Best Moment of this week: House hunting, the week going by quickly!

Looking Forward:  Going to Angelo's for Valentine's day.  Looking at a house Saturday morning!

Food cravings: Sweets.  I still want Valentine's day cakes and other than that, just whatever is near.

Weirdest Food I ate last week: Nothing

Anything making you feel sick or queasy: Nope! Thank goodness! : )

Symptoms: Sciatic stuff that comes and goes.

Workouts: Does work count as a workout? I stand and walk around for 8 hours!  If it's not, it's starting to feel like one!

What I miss: Just sleeping a full night peacefully without having to wake up to go to the bathroom! That would be so amazing! I taper off my fluid intake at night, and still can't make it through the night!

Things that stink: Nothing much right now.   The past two weeks have gone by so quickly!

Things that don't stink: looking at houses and feeling Shim moving around. Reading that baby's eyes are open!  Seeing as we are both blue eyed, I figure we will have a blue eyed little boy!

Mama's Thoughts: I feel like I should feel things are going by too fast or that it's going to go by so much faster the rest of the time, but I don't feel rushed yet.  And we have a LOT of things in the works in our lives right now!  Maybe I am subconciously in denial.  But as of now, I feel like we've still got plenty of time!

Daddy's Thoughts: Zach talks to him sternly and tells him to move for him!  Baby already isn't listening!  He hasn't felt him a lot this week.

Baby:Moving around, especially when Mama is sitting still. Sometimes he kicks during school while I'm teaching and it takes me by surprise!  Haha!

Family room re-do featuring.... my curtains! : )

For a while now, we've planned on finally finishing our family room.  That's right, it's kind of been unfinished for the entire time we've lived there.  It was painted and decorated, just no molding and the ceiling was hideous because we (and by we, I mean Zach) took down the drop ceiling the previous owners had put up.  So, anyway, I looked at curtains and didn't really find anything I liked, so I decided I was going to make my own.  Zach and I looked at Jo-Ann's a couple times and each time we looked I liked this fabric more and more.  It was the most expensive fabric I've ever bought, but in the end, it was sooooo worth it! (*Note- I bought the fabric in January before NSM! : )) Here we are at Mama Joyce's one day after church cutting the panels.  I think we were all nervous to cut it.  It was too costly to mess up! Fast forward a couple weeks because I didn't have time, was lazy, and also scared to sew on it, and I finally just delved in an...

What I'm Thankful For...

Hey y'all. It's just Nathana in this post. I figured since I've been alive 20 years, that equals 20 Thanksgivings, so I'm gonna have the 20 things I'm most Thankful for. Here goes nothing! : ) 1. The first thing of course I am thankful for is my salvation through Jesus Christ! Without him I have no hope to be anything! 2. My mom and dad, and the home they raised me in. I could not imagine any parents better than mine, and I'm proud to be their daughter. I'm also thankful they didn't give me away to a farm when I was difficult! 3. My brother and sister. No one else knows all of the trouble we've been in and fun we've had over the years and even though we don't always see eye to eye, I wouldn't trade them for any other siblings. 4. Zachary Scheller. God has blessed me with an even better future husband than I could have ever asked for. My love and respect for him grows each day, and I will be so thankful this June when I can ca...

No-spend February

I have always been a "saver" of money, practically since I started receiving it for birthdays and especially since earning it.  I nearly cried when I paid $211 dollars cash for my iPod nano when I was 16. True fact!  So a long time ago I heard of a "Dave Ramsey" type idea of a no-spend month where in your household you pay your bills and buy groceries, and no extras for one month.  Then see how much you save.  Before the new year Zach and I were thinking about plans for this next year and things we're planning on saving for, so this idea appealed to the both of us!  Next came the decision of what month to pick for our month.  We knew December was out, for obvious reasons and we felt we needed more time to prepare than January, so February it was... also, who else would admit we're smart for doing this during the shortest month of the year? ; )  Yes, we thought of that as well. We did decide our own guidelines that fit our family. 1. Pay our bills....
